The sponsors for the Texas Time Trials are so very important. Without them, there is no way possible for us to put on this event every year! We are so thankful to have a handful of dedicated sponsors that return year after year.
Bicycles Inc. has been one of our main sponsors since we started The Texas Time Trials over twelve years ago. They are invaluable! Bicycles, Inc. loans us their truck and trailer every year which helps to haul supplies like trophies and t-shirts to Glen Rose plus the truck is used for SAG all weekend. They also provide door prizes that make the Awards Dinner so much fun. Thanks to Scott and all of Bicycles, Inc. for their continued support. If you need a new bike or bike supplies or are just in the neighborhood go by one of their locations in Arlington, Fort Worth, Hurst or Southlake. You can also shop their website at www.bicyclesinc.com. Check their website for shop rides and other area rides on their calendar. Be sure to thank them for their TTT sponsorship and friend them on Facebook.
The Texas Time Trials move to Glen Rose in 2009 and what a terrific place! The City of Glen Rose along with The Glen Rose Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has sponsored us since our arrival in town. You have probably seen their new logo on the front of our t-shirts. Not only do they sponsor us, but the City of Glen Rose allows us to use their park and are always available for any assistance. Be sure and spend your travel money at local Glen Rose establishments when you come to the event in appreciation of their sponsorship. Plan a weekend to visit Glen Rose any time of year and enjoy all the area has to offer. Remember to friend them on Facebook. View all the area has to offer at www.glenrosetexas.net
Richardson Bike Mart is another sponsor that has supported us for years. Not only are the folks at Richardson Bike Mart our sponsors but they also provide great door prizes like jerseys, tires, etc. Hopefully you have been a recipient of one of these great door prizes. RBM has been a great social media partner over the years as well. Thank you to Jim, Ed, Woody and the gang for their continued support. Shop with RBM in Richardson, Dallas, Frisco or on their website. www.bikemart.com RBM has weekly rides you can participate in, so check their calendar and friend them on Facebook.
Bob Gracey, TTT Hall of Fame 2015 inductee, and his Texas State Optical Cleburne store have been a sponsor since the very beginning. Not only has Dr. Gracey been our sponsor, but he has also networked for us and brought us other sponsors. If you are in the market for glasses call Dr. Gracey’s staff and make an appointment. Be sure to tell him thank you for being a sponsor!
B&B Bicycle’s very own Justin Daniels came out to the event this year and rode the 6-Hour Shoot-Out coming in 1st in his age group. Way to go Justin! B&B Bicycles started as our sponsor in 2009 when they only had one store. They have added a Waxahachie store to the Cedar Hill location which is upgrading their shop and moving across the parking lot in the same shopping center. You can shop online or check their calendar for shop rides at their website: www.bbbicycles.com Be sure to tell Beth, Justin and the gang thank you for the great door prizes and for sponsoring TTT when you stop to shop. Like them on Facebook, too!
Northstar Bank, formerly Community Bank, has sponsored us for eleven years. Market President Tommy Forsythe has been very good to us over the years by being a sponsor and bringing in other sponsors like Starbucks. Tommy is at the Cleburne office for Northstar however they have branches all over the Metroplex. For your banking needs go by Northstar Bank and tell them thanks for sponsoring TTT and that Tommy Forsythe sent you.
R.E. Sweeney, another long-time sponsor, is the parent company of Sweeney Lumber and Resdoor Company. Thanks go out to Don DeGroot and his gang for providing us with continued support since the beginning. Sweeney is known for a large diversified inventory and dependable delivery. Check out their extensive line of doors, moldings and lumber at their website: www.sweeneylumber.com
Other long-term sponsors in the construction and landscape business are Adams Supply and Yellow Rose Landscaping. Thank you to George Adams and James Crawford at Adams Supply. Thank you also to Bert Blair at Yellow Rose Landscaping. Sponsors from the beginning and truly appreciated.
Rivet Cycle Works, SportLegs, Corio-Velo and Dick’s Sporting Goods are all sponsors for the Texas Time Trials. Check out Rivet Cycle Works for their awesome saddles that Debra Banks created after an exhaustive search for the right saddle. You might have seen a few that she sent for door prizes.www.rivetcycleworks.com Thanks Deb! SportLegs keeps an athlete’s “leg burn” at bay. Check out the testimonials on their website: www.sportlegs.com Thanks to Mr Carl Holmes for all the samples for the goody bags. We love them! The support TTT receives from the Race Across America (RAAM) and Ultra Marathon Cycling Association (UMCA) is invaluable. Thank you for all the years of support!
Thanks to ColourPrep for our awesome website, to Grace Photography and Linda Middleton for all those great pictures, to Texas Drinking Water for all of water for our thirsty racers and to Starbucks for coffee to keep us going through the night.
How could we do The Texas Time Trials without support from The Fort Worth Bicycle Association (FWBA) and Lone Star Randonneurs who send us volunteers and racers every year? A big thank you to both these clubs for all the help! See more on some great folks in the volunteer recap coming out very soon.
